About Celtic Valley Ceramics
Andrew and I are specialist tile makers from Ireland, handmaking feature bas-relief and painted tiles. We have a passion for infusing local character and folklore into our artist tiles to make them a unique and exclusive product. Set in the heart of rural County Louth, known as “the Land of Legends”, The surrounding countryside and coastal seascape are a constant inspiration for our artwork.
Hand carved tiles are moulded, pressed and finished in a range of glazes. Our tiles are available in both earthenware and stoneware. The range of earthenware finishes are lighter and brighter, making them ideal for kitchens and bathrooms whilst our stoneware glazes are deeper, have a more organic feel, and stronger and frost resistant, making them good on walls or floors, inside or out. If you do not see a tile in the finish or material you need, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The Selkie is a mythological creature found in Irish, Scottish and Icelandic folklore, they were believed to live as seals and said to shed their seal skins to become human on land.
Our tiles can be used to enhance a fire surround, bathroom, kitchen backsplash or make beautiful gifts when framed.
These tiles are hand carved, pressed, glazed and made especially for you giving each one a unique character. As a result, colour may vary slightly.
